Use Your Passion To Make Money Online

When attempting to make money online, a lot of people jump right in before they are properly prepared. You know that to be a psychologist, plumber, hair stylist or engineer, there is a required amount of training you need to be successful.

The same principle applies to internet marketing. (Don’t believe the sharks that will tell you that you need to do nothing to earn online!)

Now, that being said, online marketing IS easy compared to punching a clock every day and working 9 to 5 for a boss who really doesn’t care a whole lot about you, but there are still specific things you need to do, and pitfalls you must avoid, to actually make online marketing work for you.

Most people won’t make a penny online. Yet, there are other people who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why IS that?

One thing is essential. To make money online, you must first have passion for the company, products, and/or service of any MLM, network marketing, or affiliate program from which you expect to make money.

You need to know your company, the products, the opportunity thoroughly. You believe in them. You trust them. You are excited to be involved with them, and believe that you can succeed with them because they are exceptional, and that you can be proud to promote them. This belief and excitement turns into passion. The passion makes it easy to work hard at achieving what you dream because of the fire that spurs you on.

Of course, just having passion, and not acting on it will not bring success (or money for that matter). To succeed, you must also have a good website, marketing skills, consistent advertising, company support, etc., but ignore the passion factor and your chances to make money with your program wane considerably.

Simply stated, if you lack passion for the company, the products and the services provided by that company, you won’t bother doing much to promote them.

Internet marketing is not typically all that difficult or time consuming, but the motivation conceived in passion will get you going and keep you going with sustained vigor, even when other things clamour for your time and attention.

How to find that special company that would inspire such passion? An online search would be a good place to start. Also, take a look at the opportunites here on this site (which are awesome, by the way). Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand. It should have exceptional products and services that you can be passionate about. Keep looking until you find the right one.

Comments like, “Well, that one sounds pretty good, and the compensation plan is excellent, so I guess I’ll start that business,” doesn’t sound like a decision based on passion. Don’t just be swayed by an internet guru’s sales pitch.

Keep in mind that, of course, there are other steps you must take before you can make money online. But, if you don’t first find the right company, products, and services you can be passionate about, the rest will not come as easily.

Choosing an MLM or Network Marketing Program That’s Right For You

With the myriads of network marketing, MLM and other affiliate programs out there, it’s tough to know which one to choose. You will need to do some research and ask some questions so that you can make an informed decision. This will put you on the road to achieving what you want to in a network marketing business, and will help you find a good fit specifically tailored to your needs.

Consider the cost. Usually, MLM and network marketing programs will cost you, and this cost will certainly influence which network marketing program you will decide on. You will be charged a monthly fee, and maybe even a set up fee, depending on the company. This fee does have a purpose. MLM and network marketing opportunities give you the leverage and earning power of a potential downline when you join this kind of program. This is a powerful way to build a passive, residual income for life.

You need to know how the pay out works for the company. Do they mail out commission checks? How often? Some pay out by means of a depositing funds to your Paypal account. Each program is different, so you need to select the one that is suited to your payment preference.

Find out how referrals from your affiliate site tracked, and for how long do they remain in the system. You need to be confident that the program tracks those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can get credit for a signup or sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors don’t join right away, but may return later to do so. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of downline stats available? Your choice of MLM program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are being generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor to your site. A hit is one click on a banner or text link. Knowing who your upline is, and being able to contact them is also important.

Find out whom you are doing business with and research the company’s history. How long have they been in business? Do they have any complaints against them? An online search will tell you a lot of information about a company. It’s not a bad idea to pay attention to your gut feeling too. Do the owners seem like genuinely upfront and decent people, or a tad shady? If you get the feeling something’s not quite right, it probably isn’t.

You also need to know the products the company sells, how they work, and what your profit margin is. If the products are ones that you would not use yourself, you need to rethink your plans to join that company. You need to be sold on the products yourself, and intend to use them, if you are going to sell them to anyone else effectively.

Investigate downline layout. There are many ways to skin a downline, and it can get pretty confusing. Regardless of the type of reward plan you’re considering, there’s one important point to remember – people succeed and fail in every plan.

These are just a few of the questions that you need to ask before entering into any network marketing business. Ask potential recruiters in different companies to help you sort out the areas you are confused about. Because they are already “in,” they will be more able to give you particular information regarding a specific program.

So, that’s about it. Do your due diligence, and I wish you much success!
